These women did not hesitate when asked to do some "rough work" for the soldiers' welfare. They are shown in the act of painting chairs and tables for the Tea Room of the Red Circle Inn. The women are-reading from left to right: Miss Virginina Phoebus, of New York City,manager of the Red Circle Inn; Miss Elizabeth Green, Miss Mary Lewin, Mrs. W. D. Alexander, Jr., Mrs. Harry Franklin, Mrs. Robin Brem, Miss Eloise Horner, all of Charlotte, and Mrs. Clarence V. Foster, of Boston.
